REALTOR®

A REALTOR® is a licensed real estate salesperson who belongs to the National Association of REALTORS®, as well as a state and a local association. REALTORS® are held to a higher ethical standard than licensed agents and must adhere to a Code of Ethics.

To join ECAR, fill out the application below. Once the application has been received by ECAR staff, you will be notified of the orientation schedule. Applicants have six months in which to complete the required Orientation program. If the applicant does not attend the Orientation Program and Code of Ethics training within the required six month period, they will have to reapply for membership and submit another application fee. Upon completion of the Orientation Program, your application will be forwarded to the Board of Directors for approval.

Designated REALTOR®

The Designated REALTOR® is the broker owner of the firm or the supervising manager of the sponsored agents of the firm. Orientation and Code of Ethics training are required within six months. If the broker does not attend the Orientation Program and Code of Ethics training within the required six-month period, their membership will be suspended and services will be terminated for the entire office, including any agents affiliated with that broker.

Upon completion of the Orientation Program, the broker’s application will be forwarded to the Board of Directors for approval. If you have a referral agent, please submit the Change Form for Current Members and the Limited Function Referral Office certification form.
