The single family median sale price rose 6.23% to $180,000 during the first quarter of the year compared to the first quarter of 2014 while the average essentially stayed the same (-0.1%) at $215,987.
The number of single family sales declined only slightly (-1.36%) from 588 to 550, despite the fact that the region had terrible winter weather in January.
New London and Windham Counties, then, appear to be on the road to recovery. Foreclosures and REOs, however, will continue to have a negative effect on the market.
