The number of single family sales in New London and Windham Counties increased 15% during the third quarter of 2015 compared to the third quarter of 2014. Prices were flat, however, with the average price declining 0.5% and the median price declining 0.2%.  Continuing of foreclosure sales and the region’s economy explain the flat values, but the continued improvement is sales show that buyers are aware that low interest rates and prices make now the time to buy.
