Connecticut REALTORS® reports that the single-family residential home median sales price is $225,000 which reflects a 2.2 percent decrease from $230,000 in that same time period last year. Median indicates that half the homes sold for more and half for less. Single-family residential home sales in Connecticut decreased 4.2 percent comparing February 2017 to February 2016. The total units of homes sold were 1,823 in February 2017 and 1,902 in February 2016.

Townhouses and condominium median sales price is $145,000 representing a 0 percent increase from $145,000 in that same time period in 2016. Sales in Connecticut decreased 11.3 percent comparing February 2017 to February 2016. Total units sold were 461 in February 2017 and 520 in February 2016.

In a favorable comparison to statewide sales, the number of single family units sold in Eastern CT was 258, representing an  increase of 4.45 percent over February of last year.  The median sales price of a single family home was $199,250 in February, up 10.69 percent from the same time period last year, while the average price was up by 11.62 percent.
